The Word Is the Answer You are Desperate For!

There are no crappy situations in life that are outside of the authority of the Word of God. Pain and suffering, death, poverty, fear, and addiction; are all under God’s authority.
Read Philippians 2
Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
ten that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
It’s the reason Christians run to the Word of God. Don’t just think of the Bible when I say the Word of God.
In Genesis chapter 15, we read about a man named Abraham who was visited by the Word of God in a vision. The Bible says,
The Word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:
“Do not be afraid, Abram.
I am your shield, your very great reward.].“
What struck me most about this vision is that the Word speaking to Abraham identifies himself as the Lord.
7 He also said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.”
The Word, spoken by God through dreams and visions, written in the Bible, or Jesus himself, is all God. Your hope to get help for the damaged areas of your life is tied to you knowing God’s Word.
I have set my heart to use the very breath (Ruach) God gave me to speak his Word more and more.
Why?
God’s Word in my mouth changes EVERYTHING!
I pray for trivial things like toothaches, protection while driving, and feeling nervous meeting new people. I also pray for essential items like surgeries, my loved ones, and emotions that threaten to overwhelm me.
I pray using some of my own words, but I try never to pray without speaking scripture. If you are desperate for God’s help in your life, pray bible scriptures that relate to your situation. If you are not sure how to get started, do a Google search for scriptures that relate to your situation. You can also do a topical search in Bible Gateway.
Pray them once you have found scriptures that resonate with what you need. Pray aloud or quietly to yourself. The key is to pray.
I can’t tell you exactly how God will help you, but his Word says,
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
The goal should be to pray and invite God in to help you. God is Father, and he is also Lord. That means we are not the boss; he is! Ask for what you need but do not set yourself up for disappointment by thinking he will do it your way.
If I have learned anything on this faith journey, God sits outside of time, and his ways are perfect but different from man’s. He has ALWAYS answered my prayers without fail. But he has rarely responded to them in the ways I’ve expected.
I am grateful for that. My gratitude overflows because the Father knows me perfectly. He has said no to things that were not good for me. Yet, he has surprised me with answers that were greater than anything I could have hoped for. The Lord has also grown my faith during periods of waiting for Him to answer. If I didn’t have those growth/waiting experiences, I would remain immature.
The Lord can answer your prayers too.
So, pray. Speak God’s Word. Confess his truths all day, every day. Don’t stop speaking until your life looks like his promises. As you encounter God’s love through his Word, remember your journey with him, then teach someone else.
