I’m On a 30-Pound Weight Loss Journey: 4 Months Weigh In

Highs:
Can we celebrate the fact that I’m still weighing in weekly after 4 months? Woo Hoo!! This journey to a healthy BMI has been frustrating when the scale won’t budge. It’s also been extremely rewarding. When my husband looked up on some random weekday morning and said, “You look so healthy, babe!” His words made my heart take flight. Hey- I’m thrilled he’s loved me at every stage of life. But it’s nice to have your hard work recognized by someone who loves you!
Lows:
It’s getting a bit harder to make progress each week. I suppose that’s expected as you get closer to your goal weight. I’m in this funky place of still being too heavy for my 5’3” frame but my body is pouting and holding on to excess weight no matter what I do. I will keep working towards my goal. But, man, it’s so frustrating!!
In Conclusion:
The theme this week was frustration! Going forward, I need to put more effort into my emotional health while I juggle my weight loss goals. The added pressure of public eyes scares me a bit. It also keeps me motivated to press on. A bit of a double-edged sword purchased by yours truly!
See you in the next candid update!
