Be Specific With Your Words!

The title says it all. If you walked away with just this tidbit, and actually applied it, your life would change!
As we prepare to say goodbye to 2019 and set our gaze towards 2020, allow me to share the best advice I’ve received this year.
Be super specific when you are communicating. This applies to business as well as personal relationships. Never assume people just ” get you” or can magically anticipate your needs. I personally find it easier to ask for what I want when I know the person. This has been more challenging in the business arena because I’m often dealing with clients I’ve never met. Here are a few areas I’ve been focusing on. I hope these bring transformation for you as well.
Here are six truths that will help all of us:
- Be specific when communicating your feelings without being judgemental.
- If you are in business, say what your fee/pricing is and value your service!
- Describe your expectations to others and listen to theirs with the same intensity!
- Say yes with grace.
- Say no with a fearless spirit.
- If you expect clarity; Give it!
These six ideas are slowly becoming habits for me. What about for you? Are you courageous in being specific, even when it makes you feel uncomfortable? If there is any truth to the saying, You get what you ask for.” then your life is a reflection of it.
Are you satisfied?
I pray your holiday season is filled with, unshakeable faith, wealth beyond measure and laughter ’til it hurts!
Until next time, Kim J.
