YESSS!!! She is finally among the living:) and I am honored to present her to all of you;) My front teeth are dry from grinning so hard! Listen friends, it’s taken nearly 10 years to bring this vision to life. It all began one sunny afternoon while sitting outside watching my daughter and son play in a little muddy puddle left behind after a warm Carolina rain. She and her brother were stirring away with sticks they’d found near the garden. Watching them giggle and squish mud between their tiny little fingers melted my heart and inspired the character for this children’s book. I loved how curious and passionate they were. Science wasn’t a subject they were told to study. It was simply life all around them. The teacher in me wanted to preserve this memory and support their natural curiosity. No standardized test could measure the learning and amazement that took place that day or the years that followed. Annitandra, and her natural curiosity were born that day. I hope and pray you enjoy Annitandra as much I do! Oh – how she got her name is a true story you will discover inside of this first of many editions to come!
